Dual lighting system that is adjustable for even illumination of the entire scan area. Motorized book cradle with glass platen to flatten books and documents for perfect results. Cradle halves are independent and variably adjustable for width of spine and thickness of book. Three independent foot controls for hands free scanning. Scan color and grayscale at 200, 400, and 600 dpi. The nonrestrictive cradle has openings at the back to allow very large flat documents, drawings, maps, and manuscripts to hang behind the cradle for scanning in sections without the need to fold them.
