NEWS RELEASE

West Salem WI - Indus MIS, Inc. a subsidiary of Indus International, Inc. and the provider of high quality Book Scanners to university libraries announced the selection of the Indus BookScanner 5002, planetary large format face-up book scanner by two major university libraries.

Cornell University, Ithaca, New York and DePaul University, Chicago placed orders for the Indus BookScanner 5002. Both universities selected the Indus products because of the features that the scanner and its accompanying software BCS-2 has to offer for high quality scanning of valuable and fragile books and for the software's integrated modules used with popular document delivery systems in their ILL (Inter Library Loan) departments.

Indus announced further that the 4 scanners purchased by Cornell; two with integrated book cradles and two without the cradle system, had already been installed at Cornel in early December 2006 and the DePaul installations of one scanner with the integrated book cradle and one without the cradle system were scheduled for early January 2007.

During the year 2006 Indus installed its Book Scanners at many other major university libraries such as USMA (United States Military Academy - West Point), Binghamton University - NY, Quinnipiac University - CT, Villanova University - PA, University of Missouri - Columbia, MO, Washington University - St. Louis, MO, to name just a few of the others.

The planetary face-up large format color and grayscale book scanners that Indus offers are manufactured in Germany and are sold worldwide. Interested users may contact Indus by calling toll free from within the USA and Canada at 800-843-9377.
